User Groups are the best way to manage access to your Incident Reports. But as your organization grows, so do the number of User Groups and the number of Contributors inside these Groups.
At some point, you may feel the need to allow specific Users to act as managers of their group. Why? Because these Users will bring more detailed knowledge of the issues specific to the Group. For example, they can quickly add a keyword to ensure coverage of a new R&D project, without going through the Main Administrator.
Also, adding, editing, and deleting users or keywords will eventually take a toll on your Administrator’s bandwidth.
You’ll gain more flexibility in terms of keyword management while saving your Admin’s precious time.
Please note that User Group Management is only available to customers with a subscription to the “Enterprise”/ “Business” plan.
What is the User Group Manager Role?
The User Group Manager Role is an intermediary role inside the CybelAngel platform, between the Contributor and the Admin. User Group Managers are Contributors with additional privileges, allowing them to perform specific tasks within a User Group.
A User Group Manager can add, edit, and delete users as well as keywords. They can also share reports to Contributors to these groups and to outsiders. By default, a User Group Manager also has all the Contributor rights.
How to add a User Group Manager inside your CybelAngel platform?
To add a new User with the role of User Group Manager:
- Go to Settings>Users
- Click the button Invite.
- Enter the User's email, choose the role “User Group Manager CybelAngel Platform”, and click invite. The User will receive an email for them to create an account.
To give a current User the role of User Group Manager:
- Go to Settings>Users
- Select the User you want to edit.
- Change the User’s role and click Save.
Based on your current User Role, your permissions related to the creation of a User Group Manager Role may vary.
If you are an Admin, you can create a User Group Manager Role for any User Group in your platform.
If you are a User Group Manager, you can create a User Manager Role only for your specific User Group.
